i did some searching on the net of the contestants and found that the majority of the favorites are under that age. I'm not a beauty contest judge but based on my personal judgement of the contestants, I picked my own favorites and most are under 21.5 as well. It's more of a pick based on probability than anything. I'm playing with some of the winnings from past movie props so it won't hurt me to lose -- not that it's ok to lose.

BTW, check out Miss Brazil. She's a fukkin knockout!!! Beautiful eyes!

Some other beauties and current favorites:

Dominican Republic
India
Cyprus
Israel
South Africa
Czech Republic
Panama (homecrowd)
Puerto Rico
China
Columbia
Greece
Spain
Turkey

Sounds good to me.

The older ones might end up performing on stage better, though.

I really can't decide on a favorite, it's a close tie between around 10 or 20 of 'em.

Just got done checking them out myself and throwing them into a database to check for value... There's something about throwing a list of the world's most beautiful women into a excel database that just doesn't seem right

Of the 28 contestants that I deemed having a shot at winning it, 18 of them are 21 or under and 19 of them have brown eyes -- which by my calculations makes both the UNDER 21.5 -140 and the "winner to have brown eyes" -150 both solid value plays.

I also like your Greece ahead of Puerto Rico bet, but I couldn't make a decision on Czech/Slovak.

I also am taking:

Israel to finish higher than Colombia, and Dominican Republic to finish higher than Brazil (my strongest of the head-to-head plays).

Good luck.

Brazil and Dominican Republic will finish very close to each other imo. I think this is the toughest call out of the other head to head matchups. Brazil has a very good chance of winning this in my view and because of that I couldn't take
-150 for brown eyes (Brazilian has green eyes). It'll be intere***** to see. GL man.

Miss Brazil is now -125 against Dominican Republic.

I wonder if anyone's taking these props.??

Told ya that was my strongest play

I know that my brown eyes, under 21.5, and domincan republic > brazil plays won -- the site is getting hammered right now, so I can't check on my others.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE SITE IS GETTING HAMMERED? WHAT DID I MISS...? DID THEY LEAVE A LINE UP PAST THE CUT OFF TIME... OR DO YOU MEAN WITH ALL THE MATCH-UPS THEY'RE GETTING HAMMERED WITH LOSES?

Can someone please feel me in... I've been sleepin'.

I wish I'd put some down on the straight up winner odds. My top three was going to be Brazil, South Africa and Dominican Republic. I would've came out on top if I had. Damn it! Good call on your "brown eyes" SOS.

BTW, did anyone watch the show??? Those girls were fukkin GORGEOUS!!!!

Gil:

The missuniverse.com site was getting hammered, so I couldn't check and see who were "semi finalists" and what-not to see if my other head-to-head matchups won or loss. I ended up 4-0-1, with the Israel/Colombia bet pushing as far as I can tell (neither made the semi-finals).

Son of a Gun:

I only got to catch the 5 finalists, and of those I wasn't that impressed. Going through the pictures the other night when handicapping, I saw much more beautiful women that obviously didn't make the cut. Dominican Republic did deserve to win IMO though, she was incredible.

And for future reference to any future Miss Universe contestants that may be reading:

Even when asked a stupid question like "Which element would you be and why?" Never answer with "I would not be an element because I am a human being.". She got scratched right then and there.

LOL. That was fukkin hilarious. I felt a bit bad for her though because she got the toughest question that is really trivial and irrelative. I gotta give it up to Dominican Repulbic too -- she worked her thing on stage, gave a good answer, and came up with a ridiculous question like that which no one could answer well. Fire and water???? LOL. Oh, and yes, some of those chicks did not belong in the top 10 or top 5. Lot of politickin' backstage imo and many beauties got cut.
